Production Assistance

jesse hawke, (they/them)
It’s a little difficult to show you what being a production assistant involves – every podcast is different, so everything on this page is just a suggestion of what I could offer your podcast. I’m open to discussing more than is shown here!

Canadian True Crime

For CTC, my main duties are compiling show notes and drafting posts for episode release.

These posts include Squarespace pages, subscription service posts like Patreon and Simplecast, and social media posts for Facebook and Instagram.

I have experience using Meta Business Suite and Canva for these elements.

It’s Haunted… What Now?

This show tells true scary stories, using listener submissions or sourcing stories from sites such as Reddit.

In addition to compiling show notes, I am tasked with sourcing stories, contacting their writers and asking for permission to use their experiences in our show. I ensure correct credit is given, and provide content warnings where necessary.

Finally, I coordinate between copywriters, the show host, and our audio editor so everyone knows when to do their part.

True Crime Cases with Lanie

You’ll be seeing a lot of Lanie’s work on my pages on this site – Lanie has raised me from the ground up as a production assistant :]

For TCC, I communicate between every creator on the production line (research/writing/editing/recording/audio) so we can produce episodes in time for our twice monthly schedule.
